Today’s pick is the Rays over the Indians at (-116). Take the favorites here. The Rays have the best offensive production in the league and should be able to score enough runs off of Huff (17.55 ERA) to be able to take this one. San Diego Padres over the Diamondbacks as (+150) underdogs.
We like the chances here of the Padres stealing another upset road “W” over the Diamondbacks. The Dbacks are the clear favorite in this one but that hasn’t necessarily meant much for the disappointing Dbacks this year. They’re 6 games under 500 when coming in as the Favorite while the Padres have almost a .500 record when coming in as the underdog. The Padres main problem has been swinging the bats (trailing the league in hits per game) but they’re bats are getting hott as of late, scoring 16 runs combined in the last 2 games. Reds over the Indians at (-112)
The Reds are 8-1 in their last 9 inter-league meetings with the Indians. The Reds should be able to take advantage of the Indians dismal defense (2nd worst in the league) and their tendency to give guys free passes to first base (Indians give up the most walks in the league). Brewers over the Twins at (+110)
The Brewers have the 2nd stingiest defense in the MLB and you can be sure that the Twins won’t be running off 20 runs against the Brew Crew like they did last night against the White Sox. Manny Parra has been pitching well as of late and the Brewers have won the last three games Parra started. With the exception of last night, the Twins haven’t been playing well and the Brewers should be able to take care of business tonight as the underdog.

Pirates over the Washington Nationals at (+105)
The Pirates have won their last 5 games and are hott. The Washington Nationals, having another brutal year, show no signs that today will be any different. The Nationals have been giving up more runs than any team in the league and it will likely be another long day at the ballpark as they throw Craig Stammen on the mound in his debut.

New York Mets over the L.A. Dodgers at (+130). The New York Mets are playing better than they have all season and John Maine is due for a good performance today. They’re up against a tough Chad Billingsley but I think the Mets are going to take care of business on the road and stay hot.
