We brought in a nice winner on Thursday as the Oregon Ducks got the easy win and cover getting 8 ½ points from UCLA in the PAC 10 conference tournament.

We stick with college basketball tonight and the late night semifinal match up in the Mountain West conference as the UNLV Rebels hook up with the San Diego St Aztecs.

Tip off time from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas is scheduled for 11:30PM Eastern Time and its CBS College Sports providing the live national television coverage.

With our free pick we will play on the San Diego St Aztecs -1 point against the UNLV Rebels.

The Aztecs have beaten the Rebels in three straight meetings with two of those games at the Thomas and Mack Center.

San Diego St has defended the Rebels very well allowing the Rebels 40.1% or less shooting in their past seven meetings.

This UNLV Rebel team is extremely soft in the middle on the offensive side of the court.

The Rebels have found good looks in their past two game shooting lights out from three. But those came against lesser teams in Utah and Air Force.

San Diego St is a very fast team and will get a hand of the face of the Rebels shooters denying them good looks at the basket.

With UNLV lacking any type of inside presence the Aztecs will once again get the win and cover this small spread against the Rebels.

Oregon is a desperate team needing at least two more wins in this PAC 10 conference tournament to finish at .500 and with that will be a possible NIT bid or winning out will produce an NCAA tournament bid.

Last night in the first round of the PAC 10 conference tourney the Ducks hit on nearly 48% of their shots.

UCLA under Ben Howland historically does not flex its muscle in this format as they look to slow down tempo and conserve energy.

The Bruins are going to earn an NCAA Tournament bid so there is no need to exhort too much energy in this game.

Utah St is a much better defensive team allowing its opponents just 38.7% shooting from the field.

The Aggies have shown the ability to defend well on the road allowing just 38.9% from the field.

What you can count on in this game is that head coach Stew Morrill will have his Aggies focused and ready tonight as his team brings intensity on the court.

This is a huge game for Utah St as the WAC conference is no lock for multi bids this year into the NCAA Tournament.

We came in with a nice winner on Saturday as the Wichita St Shockers pounded the Northern Iowa Panthers from college basketball.

On Sunday we stick with college basketball and the PAC 10 conference rivalry contest between the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona St Sun Devils.

Tip off time from Arizona St is set for 9PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by FSN.

With our free pick on Sunday we will select the Arizona Wildcats -4 ½ points against the Arizona St Sun Devils.

This game features two clubs going in totally opposite directions this season.

The Wildcats are playing good basketball as the club are winners of 7 straight games with three of those wins coming on the highway.

The team is shooting just outstanding hitting no less than 47.3% over their past four games.

In their first meeting against the Sun Devils they earned an 11 point victory but dominated the glass by 14 big rebounds.

Its been a bad season for Arizona St as the club is just 9-14 straight up and tangled in the midst of a 7 game losing streak.

Wichita St has been an outstanding road team this season as the club is 8-1 straight up.

The Shockers are out to revenge a 3 point loss back in mid January on their home court against this Panthers club.

The club owns a 14 point road win at Creighton this season.

The Wichita St Shockers have shot well hitting on 46% of better in six of their past eight games against conference opponents.

In a fourteen point win at Drake the team hit on nearly 52% of their shots following up on a good performance at Creighton.

The Panthers are not near as good as the team that had a deep run in the tournament last season as they had to replace three key starters in Ali Farokhmanesh, Adam Koch and big man Jordan Eglseder.

Its the Old Dominion Monarchs and Bradley Braves in the new CollegeInsider.com Tournament Final. Bradley is playing at home for the final and is a 2 point favorite at Bookmaker.com. The Braves are 6-0 straight up in their past 6 home games. I expect a decent fan turnout for Bradley’s home game here as they drew over 6,000 in their semifinal turnout against Pacific. Bradley locked down on defense in that contest and I expect a good performance from Bradley in front of their good home crowd support. The home courts at the Missouri Valley Conference are solid bets. Old Dominion played on of the weakest non conference schedules in college basketball.
