Minnesota Timberwolves versus San Antonio Spurs NBA Pro Basketball Free Pick 4-17-2013

The Minnesota Timberwolves (30-51) were hoping to get an easy win to end their disappointing season on a high note, but it doesn’t appear that the San Antonio Spurs (58-23) are going along with their plan.

Although things may change with San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich in the hours leading up to this 8:00 PM ET game, as it stands now he plans to play Tim Duncan and Tony Parker despite the fact that the Spurs already have their playoff position solidified.

San Antonio will enter the postseason as the #2 seed in the Western Conference and cannot improve or decline from that spot regardless of what happens on Wednesday night against Minnesota. Considering Parker and Duncan have missed games recently with various ailments it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for them to play here, but currently Popovich says that is exactly the plan.
