The Cardinal has been dominating opponents at home and has averaged over 47 points per game.

The Beavers have dropped consecutive road games at UCLA and Washington and just two weeks ago dropped a home game to lowly Washington St.

Oregon St has struggled without the services of James Rodgers who was knocked out in early October for the season with a knee injury.

Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck has hit on 80% or better in this past two games with both contests coming on the road.

The Cardinal is also averaging 215 yards rushing this season.

Tampa Bay has been a very hard trying team this season as they travel to the west coast winners of three of their past four games.

Running back LeGarrette Blount has added a much needed dimension to this Buccaneers offensive attack as his threat of the run has set nice gains downfield in the passing game.

The 49ers were lucky to be playing a Rams team last week that lacked enough offensive weapons to exploit San Francisco’s ineptness on the offensive end.

Ball control by the Buccaneers will lead them to a cover in this game as they will be running against a tired 49ers defense by the fourth quarter.

The USC Trojans continue to produce solid offensive numbers this season.

Their run game has been exceptionally strong as they rush for 199 yards per game and nearly a 5 ½ yards per rush average.

Oregon St has dropped off considerably on the defensive side of the football.

They are simply not doing a good job in tackling and that is not a good thing behind a Trojans running back in Marc Tyler who is averaging 5.8 yards per rush and Allen Bradford who posts 7.4 yards per carry.

The Beavers are having major problems defending the run as in their consecutive losses to both UCLA and Washington St they surrendered over 210 rushing yards in each game.

The Beavers offense has struggled mightily since losing James Rodgers for the season.

Bad weather is in the forecast and behind a more accurate passer in Matt Barkly for the Trojans and a better running attack they will get the cover against a down Beavers club on Saturday night.

Illinois head coach Ron Zook has his Fighting Illini team playing good football. They are just 1 win away from becoming bowl eligible.

The team is coming off consecutive victories blowing out both Indiana and Purdue and allowing no more than 13 points in any one of those games.

They own a 33-13 dominating road victory at Penn St four weeks ago in Happy Valley.

In contrast the Michigan Wolverine defense gave up 41 points at Penn St in a 10 point loss.

Bottom line is that the Michigan Wolverines defense is very poor allowing its opponents an embarrassing 440 yards per game. Defensive coordinator Greg Robinson has failed this team much like he did while the head coach at Syracuse.

Michigan has suffered through 3 straight losses thanks to their defense.
