The Dodgers take on the Rockies today in Los Angeles.  It’s Billingsley for the Dodgers against Marquis for the Rockies.  Marquis is not that great of a pitcher.  Yes, he’s 9-5 on the year, but he started out 4-1 with a 3.31 ERA and it’s been going the wrong way since then.  He gives up a lot of hits and walks and is not a strikeout pitcher, so he is going to have a very tough time with the Dodger bats.  Billingsley on the other hand should be able to keep the Rockies off balance.  He’s coming off a poor start which is why I expect him to reall clamp down and thow up a bunch of zeros on the board tonight.  Take the Dodgers -1.5 at home on this one for +139 at Pinnacle right now.

Today for the first time this year we’re going to recommend a parlay.  It’s all about Chicago today, as the Cubs travel to the Pirates and the White Sox visit the Indians.  The Pirates and Indians are both pretty poor team, although the Pirates do play surprisingly well at home.  The key to this parlay is Zack Duke for the Pirates.  He’s 2-1 with a 3.15 ERA in his last 3 starts, but I think he’s been pitching a bit over his head.   To add to this, Derek Lee, Alfonso Soriano and Milton Bradley all hit Duke and lefthanders in general well.  It’s going to be a tough battle for Duke to get through the lineup 3 times unscaved.

The Angels have won 3 straight games, while the D-Backs have lost their last 3.  On the mound for the Angels will be John Lackey, going 41 innings in his last 6 starts and giving up a whopping 54 hits and 25 ER for a 9.00 ERA.  Doug Davis is going for the D-Backs and although he’s lost his last 2 decisions, he has not been pitching bad at all.  The bullpen blew his last game where he only gave up 1 ER in 7 innings and his ERA is 2.92 in his last 6 starts.  If the D-Backs young hitters like Stephen Drew, Chris Young and Mark Reynolds can muster up any inning where they put together a few hits in a row, this game should go there way.  Take the D-Backs +118.
